BIOGRAPHY

I started writing poetry at the age of 14; that age of uncertainty, insecurity and growing pains; reflecting the general malaise of youth! once into my twenties I decided to rekindle my interest in classical guitar, signed up for a music course and started playing guitar again after some 12 years.

Since then I have listened obsessively to the likes of the incredible Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin, Suzanne Vega, Nick Drake, Emmillou Harris and Amee Mann to name but a few; who have inspired me to write like crazy.

Since moving to London in 1996 I have supported Michelle Shocked and Sharron Shannon; both at the Blackheath Halls, I've played at the 'Kashmir Klub', 'Lark in the Park', 'The Boardwalk' and 'The Twist @ Oliver's Bar'. I've enjoyed writing music for Shakespearean theatre, using both my own and existing Shakespearean text.

In 2004 I decided to record 16 tracks from a collection of about 70 songs. I am now in the throws of completing an 8 track demo of new material and a instrumental piece for an art therapy documentary.
